Georgia is our sweet baby girl who we love very much...and
she brings us such joy! She is shy, affectionate and bright. We noticed that she developed at a slightly slower rate
physically...and thus began our rollercoaster of a ride medical journey uncovering what the problem was. We had heard over
and over that "babies all develope at their own rates" At first we were not concerned. Georgia seemed very bright? She could
point out my nose and eyes at 9 months old...How could there be a problem? But she was not typical overall. She met most of
her milestones later...crawled with a funny crab crawl at 11 months, walked at 20.5 months...something was wrong. She
didn't seem as coordinated and as quick as other babies her age. And she wasn't talking. On the next pages I have chronicled
my pregnancy, her birth, and the long list of doctors appointments...and ultimately what we believe caused her "muscle
weakness" or what we now know is hypotonia - meaning: low tone.
